Black Botanical History African American History Black Botanical History is based on Oak, Popolo, Willow, Mulberry, and Sycamore Trees. Oak Trees were based in Africa and the United States. African slaves were walked around an Oak tree 4-9 times to make them “forget” where they came from and “forget their memories. Oak trees were also in the United States, and they made the African slaves remember their old memories. Oak trees also reminded Africans of their home countries.
