The Sound of Music Movie Review
The Sound of Music is 2 hours and 45 minutes long, or 165 total minutes. The Sound of Music is rated as the #227 best movie of all time by IMBD. The leading cast members include Julie Andrews who was Maria and Christopher Plummer who was Captain von Trapp. The movie was produced and released in the year 1965. The director was Robert Wise.
The plot of the Sound of Music is based on 1940’s Austria right at the start of WW2. It is centered around an aristocratic family and a nun. The two major first locations are the house in Austria and a nunnery in Austria. The nunnery in Austria was based around a main character, Maria. The aristocratic house is based around Captain von Trapp, who provides an excellent performance.

The acting in the sound of music is pretty good. Some of the actors were better than the others. My favorite performance in this movie was by Heather. She played the oldest kid in the movie who was 16 in the movie. Her performance playing this character was better than any of the other actors for the role that they were playing. The music was great as well.
My review is that the Sound of Music is one of the better movies that I have seen, and one of the few better movies that was published before 1990. The Sound of Music is a WW2 take on Austria and is a notable showcase and part of Austrian history. It was mentioned heavily in the first chapter of an introductory history book about Austria. It is a significant part of Austrian culture and history.
