Tiberius the Roman Emperor's part two

Tiberius the Tyrant History of Roman Emperors part two.

This book is about 10 of the Greatest Roman emperors starting with Augustus Ceasar and ending with the emperor who led the collapse. I wanted to read about Rome because I loved visiting Italy and Learning about Italian history especially the Roman Republic/ Emperor. The Roman Empire has a slight relevance to Catholism Particular which is very Enlightening because that’s the religion that I was brought up in.

Tiberius was a conflicted emperor, slightly cruel, austere, frugal and was realistic he had good and bad qualities. He became emperor in 14 AD he was a Tyrant who was frugal and Austere and even left a surplus in the Roman Empires treasury afterward. Tiberius took on his full powers which were not completely legitimate because Augustus was “First Citizen”. He was the Richest military leader.

Tiberius was Augustus’s successor and was instated in 14 AD, he had small amounts of legitimacy because Augustus was first citizen. Tiberius the Tyrant was very frugal and austere he left a surplus in the Roman Treasury when he died, and he also went to senate meeting even when his own son died and had a funeral. He became Emperor in 14 AD. He was the Heir to Augustus and was called emperor to Augustus was the princeps Tiberius took on the full powers of Augustus who was called first citizen. Rome did not have a written constitution in the beginning of the empire.  Tiberius was defensively cruel killing two of Agripinna’s sons and letting dozens of senators die but it was a defensive move to defend himself.

Tiberius was a builder, demolisher, peacemaker, conqueror and head of his family. Tiberius was a military leader who was also educated and highly literate. He had mental scars. He was not the emperor’s first, second or third choice but he was a realist. Augustus was the smoothest and most peacefully imaginable emperor. Augustus was Tiberius’ authority and Livia was the richest person in the empire when Tiberius was emperor, and he listened to her.

Tiberius was basically a fundamental oligarch, and he enjoyed his stake in the Senate he acknowledged his senators which he rejected his father who was the father of the fatherland he was the master of the fatherland. Tiberius was a magician. He gave his senators their freedom and he had cooperation for his emperor’s personality he wasn’t thoughtful towards his friends, he was only sound in Greek. He had many virtues; however, he was realistic, prudent, moderate, sober and thrifty.

The Roman Empire was run differently under Augustus and Tiberius. Augustus was Emperor from 0-14AD and Tiberius inherited the throne in 14 AD. Tiberius gave his senators there freedom he created a surplus. He wasn’t particularly thoughtful to his friends which was key because Julius Ceasar was very good at this. Tiberius was fairly defensively cruel and historians can defend his cruelness it was necessary for his situation that he was in.
