Roman Emperor book part one – Augustus the Founder

This book is about 10 of the Greatest Roman emperors starting with Augustus Caesar and ending with the emperor who led the collapse. I wanted to read about Rome because I loved visiting Italy and Learning about Italian history especially the Roman Republic/ Emperor. The Roman Empire has a slight relevance to Catholicism Particular which is very Enlightening because that’s the religion that I was brought up in.

Augustus’ Caesar was the first Emperor of Rome and the second head of Rome after the republic fell. He decided to let his wife travel with him and make political decisions and so did the other leaders of the Roman Republic. Augustus Death led to a generation of Civil War in the Roman Empire after a long period of peace. Augustus Caesar lived for a very long time and was restrained in his youth having a smart mind.

Augustus Caesar when he turned 18 decided to not have sex for a year and that may have helped him keep a sweet, pleasant voice rather than Julius’s aggressive voice. During the period that Augustus Caesar leads him, and other allied political leaders let their wives join them on the road and sometimes even make decisions. There political leaders were important to them and sometimes even were included in political decision making especially Julia.

His wife was named Julia and he adopted his two oldest male grandsons and put them through. Augustus Caesar was named father of his country, and he viewed it as a great honor.  Augustus was merciful and pardoned many of the people that asked for it out of his mercy. Augustus Adopted some of his grandsons and some other family members of allied leaders including them in his family.

In Year 4 of the Roman Empire Augustus adopted this top general’s son and his sister’s other living son. Augustus was humble even to his grave where he was humble and made jokes even until the time he died. Augustus invented the term princess, the term emperor him being the first. After Caesar’s death Rome fell into a generation of civil war for his son. Augustus wife Livia worked to prevent a civil war after Augustus’s death after he mostly hid behind fake titles and legitimate offices.

The Roman Empire was first created in 0AD by Augustus Caesar who adopted his top general’s son and some of his grandsons to teach them so they could succeed him after death. He was merciful, humble and making jokes until his death. He also hid behind fake titles and controlled the offices that allowed him this power. Augustus Caesar brought peace to the Roman Republic and after he died the Roman Republic fell into disarray.
