Star Wars #1
Star Wars Episode #1(The Phantom Menace) has an interesting take on slavery, growing up, and dark versus light. The Phantom Menace is two hours and 16 minutes long, or 136 minutes long. The main cast includes Anakin Skywalker, Jake Lloyd, Natalie Portman as Queen Amidala, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ewan McGregor, and Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn. It was directed by George Lucas, and the soundtrack was created by John Williams. The film is an interesting take on the evolution of dark versus light and growing up.
An example of dark versus light is the extreme fear in Anakin related to his mother, which is what causes the path to the dark side. This movie is a story of the intergalactic galaxy, which is in the middle of a major war between the Trade Federation and the planet Naboo. The music and soundtrack were fantastic. The believability and the quality of the characters were fantastic. My favorite character was Jin-Jar-Bin; he showed great character progression by going from being banished to being a general and winning a full planet war.
The film’s cultural purpose is to develop Anakin, and it is one of the biggest parts of modern-day culture, with tons of popular references. Anakin and Darth Vader are some of the biggest pop culture figures and some of the biggest movie characters in history. It is also particularly important culturally, especially in the United States.
Star Wars: Episode I grossed 924 million dollars during its initial run. Star Wars Episode #1 is rated as the 992nd best movie of all time and has a 6.5 movie rating on IMDb. The movie was produced in 1999.
