I wanted to read about the Panama Canal because it’s my aunt’s dream to take a cruise on the Panama Canal before she dies, and she bought me a book for my 25th Birthday written about it. The Panama Canal is one of the most amazing and important pieces of construction ever built The Panama Canal was built in the early to mid-1500’s, however there was some controversy’s related to the Panama Canal opening it up to enemies or other workers.
The Panama Canal was built partly with the understanding of American’s bullying other countries over the work of the Panama Canal. They had a hundred year-lease’s renewable only by the United States. The Canal was built to work on the Columbian- Panamanian Relationship. The six-mile wide Canal Zone had a hundred-year lease, and they had a naval base in Panama that they established in 1903.
On January 22, 1903, Roosevelt says the bullying tactics of the US Administration the terms of the treaty had an animate of 250,000 with a 10 million gold onetime payment, the US received a six-mile-wide Canal Zone on a hundred-year lease renewable at the sole dissertation of the United States – the Columbian sovereignty was a fig leaf. Columbians in the Senate had anti-Catholic measures which he knew would make the treaty unacceptable to Columbia.
The Canal question carried politically high explosion, and Columbian sovereignty was of prime importance. In February 1903 the United States naval base was established in February 1903. The Columbians of our countries in Latin America had haughtiness and contempt their authority intervened and Mr. Roosevelt had a background of distrust and fear.
The United States replied to the United States Senate that they would not approve of the 15$ million dollars’ worth of stuff Roosevelt had in their plans which they needed to stand there writing and to do their contemptable little creatures. In the 1904 elections they were not able to continue their negotiations with the foolish and homicidal corruption in the Capital of Panama - Bogota.
Columbia created a treaty with Panama and a month later they wrote a treaty to Roosevelt which they dismissed their possibility of making a satisfactory treaty with the Isthmus and they used their rules with Bogota. Panama had a revolution of 100,000 people and Cromwell’ used his security with the dependent of Panama who used Cromwell, they went on which they had there meeting at ten o clock the next day.
