Panama Fever – The Panama Canal Part – 9

I wanted to read about the Panama Canal because it’s my aunt’s dream to take a cruise on the Panama Canal before she dies, and she bought me a book for my 25th Birthday which was written about it. The Panama Canal is one of the most amazing and important pieces of construction ever built. The Panama Canal was built in 1914 however there was some controversy’s related to the Panama Canal opening it up to enemies or other workers.

This paper explores the political motives, global impact, and controversies surrounding the Panama Canal, arguing that its construction marked a turning point in the rise of American global power. The Panama Canal was built with the intention of expanding American Leadership from 1898-1907 – right before the start of World War One. They did it to expand the Navy and it was to promote the Navy, to expand their territory and to influence their commercial expansion. Americans continued to be the superior Anglo-Saxon civilization, and they started a war with Spain around this time.  In 1889, they built the Nicaraguan Canal, and which they led their new property and worked through Washington. American leadership, right before World War Two was becoming more important on the World Stage, with which they developed there ideas, military and economic strength.

American Leadership right before World War One was increasing and becoming more important with the Panama Canal boosting the American navy. American Leadership began to really take off and become more important right before around~ 1898 which includes the 16 years before World War One started. In 1890, “the power upon history” -a major news publication- was published in Boston in 1890 – it was a major article based on the United States leadership based on the American Navy. The Americans boosted their commercial abilities and helped lead the world, however the Nicaraguan Canal was unsuccessful and that did lead to some problems with the Panama Canal.

The Nicaraguan Canal in the 1880’s was an unsuccessful example of what the Panama Canal could be, and dimmed hopes for the Panama Canal. In the 1880’s, the construction of the Nicaraguan Canal, which was started in 1889, and was completed before going completely bust shortly after. An engineer named Morgan created the lock canal in Nicaragua which they used something called Morgan’s Bill in Paris. The New York Herald, the newly built property of the Nicaraguan Canal, was worthless, and it appeared that they needed a miracle to persuade their preference. The Panama Railroad was the target of many investigations by world leaders which included $800,000 dollars’ worth of services which they used to write a top-notch paper.

The Panama Canal included the Panama railroad for three years, which they included with their life insurance agent who could beat them. Their intellectual prowess included writing in the New York World paper which they led with an investigation into the 800,000$ which they used for their services. In 1892, he was from John Bigelow, and he made himself the leader of many US citizens and they recruited a New York Lawyer to work for their company and they created a hole where money disappeared.

The Panama Canal was constructed from the 19th century to the 20th century in which the Americans started gaining influence and becoming more of a “World Power.”  They started with increasing American Influence from the 18th-20th centuries into the lead up to World War One. America started becoming a major world power 25-35 years before World War One. The Americans became a critical factor in the First World War when they joined, they turned the tide of the war- after the sinking of the Lusitania- which was the thing that started the war. The Panama Canal started the beginning of the new world order with the United States as a major world power and the end of the First World War.
