The African Kingdom of the Kongo was ruled by the King of Belgium King Leopold in the late 19th Century, in the 15th-16th centuries Europeans and Africans fought as the Kongo was reached by foot, in 1440 the Caravel was discovered. In 1506 the Crucial period of the European slave trade the King of the Congo Alfonso efficaciously fought the slave trade. The colonial plantations were filled with African slaves that were brought to the New World. In 1,440 the Caravel ship was discovered which allowed them to produce the ships that were necessary for production. In the middle 15th Century, the African slave trade starting impacting the Kongo whose king lost 10 of his family members to slavery.
In the late 1,800’s to early 1,900’s the Belgium King, King Leopold- put into slave labor Africans- from the country/territory of Congo. 8-10 million of people from the Congodied. It was one of the worst genocides in modern times, some of the highest amounts of people died compared to most other times in modern History. In the late 19th century, in 1864, the ability of the Europeans was the main goal of harvesting natural resources just as slaves had worked on colonial plantations.
The European traders in the 15th-16th centuries took slaves from Africa and sent them to then New World on ships. Between 1890-1910 Europeans and Africans fought and most of the people in the Congo died during this period, but it started over 500 years before. The slave trade and bloodshed of the people in the Congo started in 1,350. In 1,459 an Italian monk declared Africa the largest bird called the roc a large bird that could carry an elephant. During the Middle Ages of Europe Africa was dominated by the fighting Moors on the Mediterranean coast which made it hard for Europeans to trade or explore Africa.
During 1,440-1,450 the Europeans discovered how to make and produce the Caravel which was over a hundred feet long and which was used to travel across longer distances, hold and kidnap more people and have worse sea conditions.
When the African slave trade started impacting the Kongo, in 1506, he spanned a crucial period of the Europeans slave trade, and he ruled for 40 years. The Portuguese arrived at his kingdom in 1,491. The Portuguese kings were not sympathetic to the Kongo population or kingdom. The Kongo King lost 10 relatives to the Brazil slave trade, and he tried to fight against the African slave trade in his Kingdom as he was a large Christian.
The African Slave trade led to a decimation of the African population in the Middle Ages even though the majority died in the late 19th-20th centuries where 8-10 million died in camps or were killed. The European traders in the 15h and 16h centuries took many slaves and the European discovered how to make the Caravel which was over a hundred feet long and was crucial for the Europeans to explore the World. The African Slave Trade started impacting the Kongo in 1,506 which spanned a crucial period of the European slave trade but not the modern era.
