Ancient Greek and Roman coin blog post

The first picture is of a dark grey Ancient Greek coin. It’s from 100ad-400ad. Ancient Greek coins were called drachmas and were minted from different cities in Greece this particular coin is fairly faint it’s a picture of a Greek soldier or leader and is fairly clean. One of the Roman coins is a coin from the Roman Emperor Vespian. The bronze Roman coins were called denarius. Ancient Roman coins are much more common then Ancient Greek coins because the Roman Empire produced a lot more coins then the Ancient Greeks did. The first coins that were ever minted were from the Lydian empire.
