I decided to read, learn and write about Ancient Greece because its a very interesting period where the foundation of Democracy, Colonialism and the Mythical Odyssey. Ancient Greece is a very interesting place where writing was developed, temple’s philosophy and advanced government. The Ancient Greeks were on of the most and first advanced civilizations in ancient history and was one of the strongest ancient sea powers. Their religion impacted the world for the next 4.5 thousand years and even influenced Christianity.

Ancient Greek Myths include the Minitour, Troy plus the killing of Agamemnon, and the trials of the heroes. The Minitour was a beast that was in the labyrinth and was killed by Perseus. Troy was a Turkish city that was attacked by the Myceneans and Agamemnon was killed on the way back. Finally, the Trial of Heroes included the rites to legend status for the Greek heroes.

The Minitour was a Mythical beast hidden and living in a mythical beast hidden in the labyrinth of the palace of Greece. The minitour was a large monster that killed and eat those that entered the labyrinth. A Greek hero entered the labyrinth with a piece of string that entered all the way to where the Minitour was staying, and the Greek hero killed the minitour and used to the string to trace his way out of the Labrinth. Crete was in between Greece and Troy.

The Greeks sent an army on ships to Troy in a Greek raid with the leader of Sparta Agamemnon at the lead of it. Agamemnon was killed by his wife and the lover that she took when Agamemnon was gone. Agamemnon’s son killed his mother and avenged his father’s death. Odessey on the way back from Troy, being harassed by Poseidon eventually found land and survived but Poseidon killed many of his men and fellow travelers with Monsters and the sea. Odessey’s was an example of a hero, then came the trial of heroes.

The Trials of heroes were the Greek heroes’ rites of passage to achieve hero status where they traveled to far away and strange lands to fight monsters. Bellerophon fought the Chimera, a fire breathing beast. Another one of blepharons’ quests include defeating the Amazon’s Jason went on a quest to capture the Golden Fleece.

Ancient Greek Mythology includes different myths and tales that were heavily part of Greek culture and even today looked upon as mythically awesome. Ancient Greek Mythology probably came from some sort of real stories that were changed over time like in the game telephone. Ancient Greek Mythology still influences us today in the Percy Jackson series, movies and tourism to Greece.
