Africa Part Three

This book was a requested topic based on ancient Africa. It covers African History from the very beginning which includes Toolmaking, Fire and the Creation of Agriculture. This is cool as I am learning history that starts with stuff that my basis with is in Greek Mythology/ Greek Religion. I didn’t even learn it in biology or history class, so it is close to brand new.

Why was Africa the first place for human civilization and how did it evolve over time? Africa was the first continent with human civilization but, 300 million years ago it was included with the giant earth continent of Pangea. Ancient geography in Africa allowed Africa to be the foundation of the first human civilizations. The definition of a civilization is “complex civilization. Ancient Africa’s unique geology, climate/geography and was the first civilization to begin.

Geology is the study of the earth, continents and rocks. 300 million years ago, Africa was one giant continent, called Pangea. Continent sized ice bergs in South America came from Pangea which created the continent life and plants.  The Pan-African Pangea broke up and created the continents that we know today slowly after a very long time. The climate and Geography of ancient Africa causes significant differences in their people versus other groups of people.

The Climate and Geography of Africa caused significant changes in their people and allowed the first civilizations to be formed with the unique climate and characteristics of the land. Agriculture was a key foundation principle of the climate and soil. This determined whether they could farm or not. Every human adapts to their climate, culture and knowledge doesn’t mean they are better than others. Africa’s climate was unique, and it allowed them to develop farming civilizations first. Africa strangles the equator with the Mediterranean Sea, Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. Human civilization started in Africa, and they went to visit other places.

The rise of civilization started with the transformation from hunting and gathering to the development of Agriculture. The start of human civilization started with living off the land and hunting and gathering. The difference with humans started with the splitting off of humans from other humanoid species with the improvement of human’s ability to hunt and gather. The first civilization started in Africa. Civilizations cities are typically on the coast, near lakes or rivers because of commerce – trade and transportation. The definition of civilization is “Complex Civilization.” Civilization includes taxation, division of labor, regular trade and retained knowledge. The beginning of civilization started with the starting of Agriculture.

The Foundation of Human Civilization starts with humans splitting away from their fellow humans and doing their work. Human developed civilization which is a term of further human development then hunter gathering which includes “complex humans” and includes lots of other things. Humans are evolutionary amazing creatures but only truly differentiated in 6400 BCE when civilization in Africa started.
