Space, Alien Life, and Faster than the Speed of Light

Project type

Physics, Science

Date

November 2nd 2025

Science post based on Space
Do aliens exist? Is there any life off of the planet Earth? Is it possible to travel faster than light? Aliens may exist; there is a real chance for them to exist. Aliens may exist on one of Saturn’s moons and may have existed in the past or even now on Mars. That is in our solar system alone. There are lots of planets and solar systems that may potentially contain life. Life may exist on other planets. It may be very primitive life; it may be very advanced life. It may have existed in the past. However, it is definitely possible that there is life outside of planet Earth even now. It is also possible, but unlikely, that life does not exist off Earth. It may be possible to travel faster than light by using wormholes. Wormholes are shortcuts between two different places by creating a rift in time.  Wormholes certainly may exist, and Stephen Hawking confirms that it is possible to travel faster than light by using wormholes. (Hawkings 160.) He confirms that it is scientifically possible using wormholes and that wormholes very well may exist. (Hawkings 159.) However, traveling faster than light by using different methods is probably impossible or will require much more research. This is because the closer an object gets to the speed of light, the more energy and power it takes to make it go faster. (Hawkings 159-170.) Scientists have been able to get particles up to 99.9% of the speed of light, but have not been able to get particles to a speed any faster than that.
