Israel- Arabs/ Palestine

The Israel- Palestine conflict is very complicated and has a 1,000-year history of direct conflict and 100 years of conflict between Israel and Palestine. Settlers from Europe were coming to Israel even before WW2 due to rising Anti-antisemitism in Europe. The Crusaders in the 11th century AD were invading Jerusalem and the surrounding area’s including Antioch. They built a Crusader kingdom that was ruled separately from the European’s.
The Isreal-Arab/ Palestinian conflict is very complicated. One point of contention is what role does the U.S in having contributed to this problem. One of the things that should be included in this analysis is the aid the United States gave to the Middle East. The United States provided over 100 million dollars of aid to the Middle East between 1948-2018. This greatly benefited Middle Eastern countries lifting their standard of living. Most of this money was sent to countries that were aligned with the United States except Iraq. They particular contributed to improving access to clean water, sanitation and other public goods. The author of Grand Delusion states that; “The United States also made a good faith effort to carve out land for the Palestinians.” This is important which means that the United States is not Soley to blame for the Isreal-Palestinian conflict being where it is today. Isreal separated from the original British colonial mandate that Britain had in 1947 due to the British’s involvement in World War Two. The ones responsible for overthrowing the British were part of the most radical Jewish factions/Jewish Terrorist groups and attacked the British who were at war with the Nazi’s This seems counterproductive doesn’t it?
An overall analysis of the Isreal- Palestine war is that: 1. It is significantly more complicated than the typica/common person thinks. It’s not as simple as one side having complete claim to the land versus the other. Israel should exist; it had owned the lad 3,00 years ago for a long time. Also, It is the site of three religious centers, Christianity, Islam and Judaism, it is the hottest flashpoint in the entire world. It doesn’t mean that there is an easy solution. The Palestinian’s do not automatically have rights to run all of that area automatically. They are not completely innocent they kidnapped, raped and murder almost 2,500 Israelis. That is an atrocity. It is one of the worst single day massacres to happen to civilians for the most part. Hamas was shooting the food trucks and killing the aid workers, it wasn’t all Isreal’s fault. Also I can quote a Hamas operative in saying “Israel doesn’t have a right to exist.” That is the stated position of Hamas, so there is no easy solution. It may not even be a fixable situation; so DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST.
